Mom leaves in the morning

Mom just went to bed...She has had her final goodbyes to the babies. In less than 24 hours I will be turning Mom loose into the big bad world. It has been good having Mom here. I thought it might be years before anyone other than Ken in my family would be in Soddy-Daisy. I am so relieved that Mom was able to see Anthony and Preston at their home. Mom taught Anthony several "tricks":

  • So handsome and so strong

  • several sign words (more, love and candy)

  • played a lot of basketball and other games

In mom's visit had several highlights:

  • Made two dinners (pot roast and pot roast)

  • bought two five pound bags of sugar

  • Knitted three hats

  • made 3 batches of peanut butter fudge

  • two batches of no bakes

Overall it was a good time. I am sure Mom is ready to have her own space back...Uncle Dan has a saying "Company is like fish, no matter how much you love it after a while it starts to stink" I love my Mom but I miss walking around the house naked.

I was glad to have my mother in law here but the boys and I popped the Moet bottle open at about 6:05 am this morning.

Wow! Teresa was up at 6:05 am. lol Tony is a little confuses on how many meals I made. He forgot about the 15 breakfast, 18 lunches and 10 dinners I made Anthony and the 81 meals I made Preston. I don't think we should forget the 243 diapers I changed, some with big ugly gifts in them. Tony also forgot to mention the 898 dishes and pans I warshed. (see there is an r) Four weeks is too long to visit. I knew within the first week they were ready to get rid of me. Clue one they let the air out of my bed. Clue 2 I had to get my suit case off the front porch every day. Tony's best friend Lyn was the only one that was nice to me. I think Tony now knows what it was like when he stayed at my house for 18 years. (I thought he would never leave) I will miss my perfect Grandson's and I'm happy I got to spend one on one time with them. Teresa might not know it yet but she will miss her nanny. I love you guys and thank-you for putting up with me for so long.
